The publication included interviews with Daniele van Ark, Blommers&Schumm, Koos Breukel, Joost van den Broek, Ernst Coppejans, Anton Corbijn, Linelle Deunk, Desiree Dolron, Charlotte Dumas, Lucia Ganieva, Ringel Goslinga, Pieter Henket, Carli Hermes, Cuny Janssen, Daniëlle Kwaaitaal, Annaleen Louwes, Hellen van Meene, Vincent Mentzel, Erwin Olaf, Carla van de Puttelaar, Viviane Sassen, Martine Stig, Marie Cecile Thijs en Marcel van der Vlugt. It was edited by publisher Waanders & De Kunst. Both the book and the exhibition showed the extraordinary quality and diversity of Dutch portrait photography.
Museum Fundatie in Zwolle commissioned Cathinka Huizing and Harriet Stoop to curate exhibitions on portrait painting and portrait photography. 'Portraitists NOW' was on show in Kasteel Het Nijenhuis in Heino from January - April 2010. The book Portretten van Portrettisten (Portraits of portrait painters) was published for the occasion. Thirty representatives of contemporary Dutch portrait painters were extensively interviewed about their art. They reveal their training at the academies, the practice, their techniques and their experience in the Dutch world of portraiture. They show the diversity and quality of the contemporary portrait art. The book published by Uitgeverij Waanders. It is now sold out. Stoop and Huizing are regularly asked by both private persons as well as companies for advice on the choice of a portrait artist.
